Creative Scholarship Program

The Law Offices of Anthony J. Vecchio LLC is offering high school/college students the opportunity to help further their education through our creative scholarship program. Our firm will offer two scholarships with a combined worth of $1,500 to students nationwide who plan to attend a four-year institution of higher learning. Selection of the recipients is based on the creative entry, school activities, positions of leadership, special honors and awards, community involvement, academic performance, and professional pursuits.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent U.S. resident.
  • Be accepted to an institution of higher learning.
  • Be graduating high school, receiving GED within 9 months or be a college student enrolled in college or graduate school for the upcoming semester.
Employees of the The Law Offices of Anthony J. Vecchio LLC, Consultwebs.com, Inc., their boards of directors and immediate family members are not eligible for this contest.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants are required to submit the following materials:
  1. A completed application found here.
  2. digital photo of yourself (.jpg)
  3. A copy of your high school or college transcript; and
  4. A creative project on the criminal justice system’s central focus.
    • Do you think the justice system focuses on punishment more than rehabilitation for criminals? What should be the central focus of our criminal justice system? Research and explain your answers.
Essays should be limited to 600 words. Videos should be limited to 2 minutes.
Your entry must show your thorough research on the subject. Make sure to clearly justify your answer and cite all sources of information. Your work must be original and creative. Plagiarism is immediate grounds for disqualification.
All creative entries must be e-mailed along with the rest of your application to anthonyvecchiolaw@gmail.com. Entries will not be returned to the applicant.

2016 SCHOLARSHIP TIMELINE

Start of Submission of Application: January 15, 2017
Deadline of Submission of Application: April 15, 2017
Winners will be announced no later than: May 1, 2017

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT

After all entries are submitted by our deadline of April 15, 2017, the firm will choose two entries from a filtered pool of top applicants for our scholarship awards in the following amounts:
First Prize: $1000 scholarship
Second Prize: $500 scholarship
Scholarship Contest awards must be used exclusively for tuition at an institution of higher learning and/or for related expenses such as books and supplies.  Award winners are expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.

OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES

All entries submitted to the Law Offices of Anthony J. Vecchio LLC, in connection with our scholarship contest, along with all copyright, trademark and other proprietary rights associated therewith, become the property of the Law Offices of Anthony J. Vecchio LLC.
By submitting an entry, you acknowledge that if you win a scholarship award, the Law Offices of Anthony J. Vecchio LLC, will own all rights to publish and promote the submission.

All entrants agree that they consent to the use of their name and area of residence as well to the use of their likeness (as in a photograph) and prize information.
