BRANDEIS ASSOCIATION
SCHOLARSHIP FUND
  • The Brandeis Association is proud to announce that it will be awarding three Scholarships of $5,000.
  • The Brandeis Association of Queens County Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to Jewish law students currently in the 2nd or 3rd year of study at the time of submission and who are residents of Queens County or who are attending law school in Queens County. 
  • In awarding the scholarships, consideration will be given to financial need, legal scholarship and community involvement. 
  • Remember: Only one application is necessary for all three scholarships and the scholarships will be presented at the annual Brandeis Association Scholarship Fund Breakfast on Sunday, June 10, 2018.
  • Deadline for Submission: Postmarked by April 27, 2018.

DDR Lawyers Legal Scholarship
- The law firm of Dolan Dobrinsky Rosenblum, LLP is pleased to announce a unique scholarship opportunity. 
- The DDR Lawyers Legal Scholarship, worth $1500 and is designed to help one law school student pay for their tuition costs.
- Application requirements: (1. Completed Application. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.) (2. Upload a 500-600 word original essay on what you hope to achieve in your legal career if awarded this scholarship.) (3. Upload School Transcript.) (4.Upload Resume)
- A winner will be announced on, or before, January 31, 2019, at which point we will arrange to have $1500 sent to the student's financial aid department to help pay for their tuition costs.
- Who is eligible: Admitted law school students attending an accredited law school in the United States with a minimum of 3.5 GPA.

  • The Christensen Law Firm Scholarship is offering a recurring scholarship worth $2000 designed to help one incoming 1L or continuing law school student pay for their tuition costs.
  • Who is eligible: an Incoming first year or continuing law students who are enrolled in an accredited law school in the United States, and hold a 3.5 minimum GPA.

  • Answering Legal’s Future Attorneys of America Scholarship is proud to announce its annual scholarship!
  • Answering Legal’s Future Attorneys of America Scholarship is dedicated in choosing one law student, of academic excellence, every year and awarding them with the FAAS merit scholarship
  • Applicants must choose one of the following questions provided for your essay. Essays must be between 500 and 1000 words.

2018 ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship
  • Touro is pleaded to announce the ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund. 
  • The Scholarship Fund will award $5,000 of financial assistance annually to each scholarship recipient attending an ABA-accredited law school.
  • The Scholarship Fund is intended to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to apply to law school and to provide financial assistance to these students.
  • An award made to an entering first-year student may be renewable for two additional years, resulting in financial assistance totaling $15,000 during his or her time in law school. 
  • Recipients will be selected based on their qualifications for the scholarship and not on the law school they plan to attend. 
  • Deadline: Completed scholarship applications must be received by April 6, 2018.

2018 Alford Excellence Award
- Multicultural Judges & Lawyers Section of Delaware intends to grant the 2018 Alford Excellence Award, a $3,000 scholarship, to at least three future practitioners who will sit for the July 2018 Delaware Bar Examination. 
- On May 16, 2018, the Multicultural Judges and Lawyers Section (“MJL Section”) of the Delaware State Bar Association will hold its annual Judge Haile L. Alford Memorial Breakfast. 
- The event is held in honor of Haile L. Alford, the first African-American female judge in the State of Delaware. Judge Alford was appointed by Governor Mike Castle in 1992 and served on the bench until her untimely death in 2003 at the age of 54.
- During the Alford Memorial Breakfast, the MJL Section intends to grant the 2018 Alford Excellence Award.
- In order to apply for the 2018 Alford Excellence Award the application materials include: (1) the 2017 Alford Excellence Award Application and (2) a personal essay (1000 word limit).

SARATOGA COUNTY
BAR ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP 
  • The Saratoga County Bar Association annually offers two $1,000 scholarships to residents of Saratoga County who are in their 2nd or 3rd year of law school. 
  • The scholarship committee considers an applicant’s class rank, demonstration of leadership, community involvement and financial need.
  • The scholarship committee recommends candidates to the Executive Board which makes the final award. 
  • Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2018, to be considered for the scholarship.

 Ruth Whitehead Whaley Scholarship
  • The Association of Black Women Attorneys is pleased to announce the annual Ruth Whitehead Whaley Scholarship.
  • The Ruth Whitehead Whaley Scholarship is named in honor of Ruth Whitehead Whaley, a legal pioneer and the first African American woman admitted to the New York State Bar. 
  • The ABWA Ruth Whitehead Whaley Scholarship awards law students who strive beyond the rigors of law school and demonstrate a commitment to public interest, civil rights and actively participate in their community. 
  • Students must also demonstrate a financial need and be enrolled at an accredited law school in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut.
