The Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section of the New York State Bar Association in conjunction with BMI announce the 2011 Annual Phil Cowan Memorial/BMI Scholarship Writing Competition.

14th Annual Entertainment Law Initiative Writing Competition

The 14th Annual Entertainment Law Initiative Writing Competition and Scholarship

The scholarships are a joint effort of the GRAMMY Foundation and the ABA Forum on Entertainment and Sports Industries to provide law students with opportunities in the field of entertainment law. 

The grand prize winner receives a $5,000 scholarship and the four runners-up each receive $1,500 scholarships.  All five winning articles will be published in a major law journal, will receive one GRAMMY awards show ticket, round-trip airfare to the GRAMMY awards, hotel accommodations and one MusiCares person of the year ticket.  For more information, click HERE.

Rona R. Mears Student Writing Competition and Scholarship Awards

The American Bar Association Section of International Law is sponsoring the Rona R. Mears Student Writing Competition and Scholarship Awards program to encourage law student interest and participation in the practice of International Law and the Section. 

Prizes include $1,000 in cash, free registration and travel to the Spring Meeting and the opportunity to be published in a Section publication.
