At
the law firm of Albertson & Davidson, LLP we understand that obtaining an
education is the pathway to success for many young Americans, which
is why we are pleased to announce that we will be awarding $2,500 college
scholarship to the winner of our newly created essay contest. By creating this
award, we hope to help the next generation of students realize their
educational and professional goals.
Essay Question:
Courts in the United States have little power to change
the terms of a valid will, even if some of its terms seem unfair to people who
would normally expect to inherit assets. Do you think that it should be legal
to disinherit your spouse or children, and should courts be able to change the terms
of a will that they decide is unfair? Why or why not?
Scholarship eligibility and application requirements:
The Albertson & Davidson, LLP College Scholarship is
open to individuals who are currently attending or are planning on attending an
accredited United States college or university during the fall 2016 semester.
