The Touro Journal of Race, Gender and Ethnicity will be hosting a scholarship event this spring dedicated to writings related to current issues of race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation.
All Touro students, staff and alumni are eligible to participate in the JRGE Spring Symposium Unified Writing Competition (UWC).
Each competitor may submit up to two, but no more than two Articles, Notes, or Comments pertaining to Race, Gender, Ethnicity, or Sexual Orientation. The writing must be original work that has not previously been published, be typed in 12 point font, with 1 inch margins and be no longer than 30 pages, inclusive of footnotes.
JRGE will review the submissions and begin to make offers to participants no later than Monday, March 23, 2015. Please be advised that offers are given on a rolling basis, and will continue throughout the week. No more than 8 student papers will be selected for publication and participation in the Symposium. Once a participant opts to be published with the Journal, he or she should decide whether he or she will present at JRGE’s annual symposium. If so, preparation must commence upon notice of selection. All offers will be concluded by Saturday, March 28th.
