Health Law

Diversity Summer Fellowship in Health Law – DEADLINE EXTENDED  December 15, 2015
The $5,000.00 Fellowship will be awarded to (2) law students who are currently enrolled in law schools in the State of New York to work in Health law positions in the public sector in the State of New York during the summer of 2016.

Real Property Law

The Real Property Law Section Melvyn Mitzner Scholarship – DEADLINE EXTENDED  December 15, 2015
One $5,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to a second or third-year law student. Efforts will be made to honor Melvyn Mitzner’s commitment to professional achievement in the area of real property law including legal writing, lecturing and scholarship; and diversity in the profession

The Real Property Law Section Lorraine Power Tharp Scholarship –  DEADLINE EXTENDED   December 15, 2015
One $5,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to a second- or third-year law student (as of fall semester 2015) who best exemplifies the core values important to Lorraine Power Tharp–academic excellence, a demonstrated interest in public service, high integrity and, if possible, an interest in real property law. A preference will be given to a student who demonstrates financial need.

ANTITRUST
The Antitrust Section Law Student Fellowship – Deadline Extended January 9, 2016
The Fellowship, valued at $6,000, is open to all first-year (1L) and second-year (2L) students. It will be awarded to up to (4) students to spend the summer of 2016 (10 weeks) working on antitrust matters in the New York Office of New York Attorney General, Antitrust Bureau; Federal Trade Commission, Northeast Region; or Department of Justice Antitrust Division, New York Field Office.

Trusts and Estates Law

The Trusts and Estates Law Section Fellowship – February 1, 2016
The Fellowship will be awarded to three second-year (2L) law students who are currently enrolled in law schools in the State of New York to work in trusts and estates law positions in the public sector in the State of New York during the summer of 2016. 

Commercial and Federal Litigation

The Commercial and Federal Litigation Section Minority FellowshipFebruary 1, 2016
The fellowship is valued at $6,000 and will take place in summer 2016.  The fellowship is available to all 1L minority students currently enrolled in a law school in the State of New York. The fellowship will take place in New York City.

Intellectual Property Law

Miriam Maccoby Netter Fellowship created and funded by the Intellectual Property Law Section


Non-Profit Deadline EXTENDED : December 28, 2015
Student Deadline: February 1, 2016

One grant, valued at $5,000.00, will be awarded to a public interest intellectual property organization or charity to conduct the fellowship. The fellowship will take place in summer 2016 and the organization will offer the fellowship to students enrolled in law school located in New York State during the 2015 spring semester, as well as persons who received their JD any time within the last 3 years. The fellow will assist the organization with matters relating to intellectual property law.

Corporate Counsel

Non-Profit Deadline: November 30, 2015
Student Deadline: February 1, 2016

The Corporate Counsel Section Fellowship—– February 1, 2016
The $6,000 fellowship will take place at a New York public interest legal or charitable organization.  The student will assist the organization’s general counsel (or other similar individual holding a counsel position) with matters relating to counsel or advice to the organization.  The Program shall operate during the summer of 2016.
