The American Arbitration Association (AAA) is launching a 1½-day ADR Summit for diverse law students to provide an in-depth understanding of what it really takes to become a successful arbitrator and/or mediator.
Presenters will include experienced ADR professionals and litigators from various backgrounds who will outline a successful career path as an arbitrator or mediator and discuss how to avoid potential pitfalls along the way. Attendees will learn the importance of focusing on a specific industry, networking, connecting with mentors, gaining relevant experience, and building a good reputation in the field.
The program is open to diverse students. Selected applicants will receive a $1,300 stipend to cover travel and hotel expenses to New York.
