Now in its fourth year, the Ward Greenberg Diversity
Scholar Program is an innovative initiative that seeks talented law
students in their first year who intend to pursue a litigation track. Selected
scholars will (1) receive a 10-week appointment as a summer associate in either
our Rochester or Philadelphia offices, (2) be seconded to one of our corporate
clients to begin to form important professional ties with in-house counsel, (3)
a $7,500 bonus, and (4) primary consideration for a 2020 summer associate
position at Ward Greenberg, and with it, an additional $10,000 bonus.
To be eligible, a candidate must be a first-year student at
an ABA-accredited law school with demonstrated academic and leadership
achievements, and a desire to practice at a sophisticated litigation firm and
contribute to its diversity objectives. While there are no restrictions on
eligibility, students from historically underrepresented populations in the
legal profession are encouraged to apply.
