Chrissy Weems Scholarship

The Chrissy Weems Scholarship was created to help the future entrepreneurs and small business owners of our world. All high school seniors who have been selected to attend a college or university, current college  and law school students are encouraged to apply. To enter for a chance to receive this $1000 scholarship you just have to write a short 500-word essay. Full details can be found below:

Eligibility
You are eligible to apply for this $1000 scholarship if you meet one of the below requirements.

A high school senior that has been accepted into a college or university
A current college, law school  student that is not in their final year.

Guidelines
To apply for the $1000 Chrissy Weems Scholarship please write a 500-word essay on the following topic: “Share an adversity in your life that you have fought to overcome and what you have learned from it”.

Winner Selection
A winner will be selected by the scholarship committee in March 2019. Once contacted the winner will have two weeks to respond so the scholarship can be awarded to their school’s financial aid department.

Suffolk County Executive’s Office Internship Program

The Suffolk County Executive’s Office is offering student internship opportunities for the upcoming Spring 2019 semester.

All areas of study are encouraged to apply through our new internship page.

Eligibility

The scholarship is aimed at students who are at present enrolled full-time at an accredited 2-year or 4-year university, community or junior college, or a graduate degree program.

This scholarship is offered to United States citizens nationwide.
Students are encouraged to apply regardless of their major.
One person can send only one entry.

Amount

One passionate individual will receive a $1,000 award for applying and expressing their interest in the subject.

Mark T. Banner Scholarship

This scholarship is part of The Richard Linn American Inn of Court's commitment to fostering the development of intellectual property lawyers of high ethics, civility and professionalism, and especially those from diverse backgrounds.

The recipient of the scholarship receives $10,000 to be applied to their legal education.  This scholarship is available to law students who have entered into a JD program at an ABA-accredited law school in the United States and who will continue in that program through at least the Fall semester 2019.  Scholarship recipients are selected by the Mark T. Banner Scholarship review board based on the following criteria:

• Commitment to the pursuit of a career in intellectual property law.
• Commitment, qualities and actions toward ethics, civility and professionalism.
• Academic merit (undergraduate, graduate and law school).
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Leadership qualities and community involvement.
• Member of a historically underrepresented group in IP law (including race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation and disability).

2019 Ward Greenberg Diversity Scholar Application

Now in its fourth year, the Ward Greenberg Diversity Scholar Program is an innovative initiative that seeks talented law students in their first year who intend to pursue a litigation track. Selected scholars will (1) receive a 10-week appointment as a summer associate in either our Rochester or Philadelphia offices, (2) be seconded to one of our corporate clients to begin to form important professional ties with in-house counsel, (3) a $7,500 bonus, and (4) primary consideration for a 2020 summer associate position at Ward Greenberg, and with it, an additional $10,000 bonus.

To be eligible, a candidate must be a first-year student at an ABA-accredited law school with demonstrated academic and leadership achievements, and a desire to practice at a sophisticated litigation firm and contribute to its diversity objectives. While there are no restrictions on eligibility, students from historically underrepresented populations in the legal profession are encouraged to apply.
