Next Step Diversity Challenge
Entry deadline: December 20
Encourages programs that increase diversity in the educational pipeline. Award: Grant of up to $1,500 sponsored by Walmart to expand winning challenge programs.
Writing Competitions
Entry deadline: December 6
Award: Possible publication in The Health Lawyer and a $500 honorarium, airfare, and hotel to attend the Emerging Issues Conference, February 27-28 in Arizona.
Entry deadline: December 31
Award: $2,000; travel expenses to attend the next Forum Annual Meeting; one-year membership in the Forum on Construction Industry; and possible publication on the Forum website and in a Forum periodical.

Award: $1,000 or iPad and accessories up to $1,000 in value.

Award: $5,000; one GRAMMY Awards show ticket, round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations to attend the GRAMMY Awards, and one MusiCares Person of the Year ticket.

Clerkships, Internships, and Fellowships
Application deadline: December 13
Work in the consumer protection and antitrust departments of state Offices of Attorneys General and other governmental offices throughout the US.

Encourages students to pursue business court clerkship opportunities and to consider careers in the practice of business law.  Includes a summer stipend.

With offices in all 50 states, Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico, the ACLE brings together a team of public interest lawyers, lobbyists, communication strategists, members and activists in the advancement of equality, fairness, and freedom.
Application deadline: January 6
This fellowship focuses on contemporary legal ethics using the conduct of lawyers and judges in Nazi Germany as a launching point for an intensive two-week summer program.  Include an all-expense paid trip from New York to Berlin, Krakow, and Oświęcim (Auschwitz) where students will work with leading faculty to explore both legal history and the ethical issues facing lawyers today.
