College Students Compete for $1,000 CASH at LaunchPad Long Island

MINEOLA, New York February 26, 2013 – CollegeStartup.org will present College Startup x LaunchPad LI, taking place at LaunchPad Long Island’s business accelerator and co-working space in Mineola on March 9th, and featuring a unique opportunity for students to interact, collaborate and learn from mentors, experts and entrepreneurs from the Long Island startup community.

CollegeStartup.org is proud to bring College Startup Series to LaunchPad LI for the first time. College Startup x LaunchPad LI will give a chance for current undergraduates, graduates, and recent grads 12 hours to pitch, design, and build a startup of their own to pitch in front of an expert panel of experienced professionals.

The cost for students to participate is only $35 and they can win $1,000 CASH sponsored by DormFunding.com. Breakfast, snacks and energy bagels are being generously provided by Bagel Boss for the 12 hour event! A limited number of spectators are also welcomed for FREE. Those interested can register for the event at: www.CollegeStartUpLaunchPad.eventbrite.com.

“CollegeStartup.org represents a unique collaboration among a broad spectrum of student talent,” comments Andrew Hazen, an angel investor, serial entrepreneur, attorney and admitted domain name & startup addict. “I am thrilled and excited to be on the Board of CollegeStartup.org and look forward to working with an extraordinary team that will significantly increase awareness of entrepreneurship on college campuses across the globe.”

More information regarding the College Startup x LauchPad LI schedule can be found at www.CollegeStartup.org.

CollegeStartup.org focuses on startups and entrepreneurship to bring together various majors to collaborate and network for the future. The Global Startup Weekend inspired us to create an event that would bring together innovative collegiate minds to one location where they can meet, greet, and create potential businesses.
