The William C. Conner Intellectual Property Law Writing Competition

In 1992, the New York Intellectual Property Lawyer Association (NYIPLA) established “The William C. Conner Intellectual Property Law Writing Competition,” created for law students currently enrolled in a J.D. or LL.M. program.

The winner will receive a cash award in the amount of $ 1,500.00 and will be invited to attend the NYIPLA Annual Meeting and Dinner, which will be held at the Harvard Club, in New York City, on May 24, 2011. Additionally, the winning paper will be considered for publication in the NYIPLA Bulletin, which is a prestigious publication granting the student incredible exposure to prominent members within the Intellectual Property field. The runner-up will receive a cash award of $ 1,000.00 and will also be invited to attend the NYIPLA Annual Meeting and Dinner.

All entries must be written on any of the traditional subject areas of Intellectual Property, i.e., patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, unfair trade practices and antitrust, and, must be submitted by March 11, 2011.
