New Assistant Dean for Student Services
Touro Law Center Dean Lawrence Raful is proud to announce Charlotte Taylor has been named the new Assistant Dean for Student Services at Touro Law Center. She began at the law center on July 1.
"Charlotte Taylor has an obvious commitment to law students, and we are excited that she will be joining us,” said Dean Raful. “We look forward to having her as part of our administration -- helping to foster student success while promoting the goals of the law school."
Charlotte D. Taylor was formerly the Assistant Dean for Multicultural Affairs and Student Support Services at DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, IL. After graduating from DePaul University College of Law in 1996, she practiced in the area of insurance defense before returning to DePaul as the assistant director of the Academic Support Program. While at DePaul, she co-authored Bridging the Gap Between College and Law School: Strategies for Success (Carolina Academic Press), which has become a standard reference for academic support professionals, pre-law advisers and first-year law students. In 2000, Dean Taylor was promoted to assistant dean for multicultural affairs, to serve as a mentor and adviser to minority students and minority student organizations. In 2004, she assumed additional responsibility for student support services, covering first-year orientation, academic advising, exam administration and Code of Conduct matters.
