United Nations Academic Impact Student Essay Contest

The United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), in collaboration with ELS Educational Services, Inc., (ELS) invites students, 18 years and older, who are enrolled in a full-time course of study at a college or university, to participate in an essay contest through the Many Languages, One World program (“Many Languages,” available at ManyLanguagesOneWorld.ELS.edu).

The essay should relate to the post-2015 global development agenda, in the context of the 70^th anniversary of the United Nations, and the definition of new goals reflecting the imperative of global sustainable development that recognizes, and is enriched by, cultural and linguistic diversity.

2015 1L SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM Prudential Financial, Inc.

The American Bar Association’s (ABA) Commission on Disability Rights is pleased to partner with Prudential Financial, Inc. (Prudential) to provide a meaningful summer internship opportunity for a highly motivated, first-year law student with a disability. The Commission will select a law student with a disability to join the 2015 summer law intern program at Prudential’s New Jersey/New York offices. The 1L summer internship will run 10 weeks—from May 26 to August 7, 2015. Interns will be paid a stipend of approximately $10,000, which shall accrue and be paid on an hourly basis.

2015 Trusts and Estates Law Section Fellowship

The New York Bar Foundation is pleased to announce the 2015 Trusts and Estates Law Section Fellowship which has been established by the Foundation through a gift from the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. The Fellowship will be awarded to four second-year (2L) law students who are currently enrolled in law schools in the State of New York to work in trusts and estates law positions in the public sector in the State of New York during the summer of 2015.

Public Interest Law Scholarship

The Honolulu law firm of Davis Levin Livingston has announced their second Public Interest Law Scholarship. The scholarship intends to support law students intending to pursue public interest law and add to the ranks of motivated young attorneys willing to consider a career as a public interest lawyer. The firm awarded two $3,000 scholarships in 2014 after finding two extremely worth applicants.

Curtin Justice Fund Legal Internship Program

ABA JOHN J. CURTIN, JR. JUSTICE FUND 2015 SUMMER LEGAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Curtin Justice Fund Legal Internship Program is seeking motivated law student interns to apply for stipends available for the Summer 2015 Program. These students should have a position offered, contingent on funding, from a qualified organization.

Internship: 
The Curtin Justice Fund Legal Internship Program is managed jointly by the ABA Commission on Homelessness and Poverty and the Standing Committee on Legal Aid and Indigent Defendants.  The Program will pay a $2,500 stipend to three law school students who spend the summer months working for a bar association or legal services program designed to prevent homelessness or assist homeless or indigent clients or their advocates. The Legal Internship Program will provide much-needed legal assistance to organizations serving the under-represented and give students direct experience in a public interest forum. Through this, it aims both to help homeless clients and to encourage careers in the law that further the goals of social justice.

Center for Reproductive Rights Tenth Annual Sarah Weddington Writing Prize

Law Students for Reproductive Justice (LSRJ) in collaboration with the Center for Reproductive Rights, is pleased to announce the Call for Submission for the tenth annual Sarah Weddington Writing Prize for New Student Scholarship in Reproductive Rights.

The Summer Fellowship Program provides stipends to 1st and 2nd year law students who dedicate their time to advancing the cause of workers' rights.
