The National Academy of Social Insurance 1st Annual Law Student Writing Award




1st Annual Law Student Writing Award for an Outstanding Paper on Social Insurance
The National Academy of Social Insurance (NASI) is currently accepting applications for its 1st Annual Law Student Writing Award for an outstanding paper on social insurance. The award is designed to recognize and promote outstanding research and analysis by law students addressing the impact of the law on social insurance policy questions, especially those that address aging. 

Sponsored by the Borchard Foundation Center on Law and Aging, the winner will receive a $2,500 honorarium and the opportunity to participate in the 27th Annual NASI conference on January 28 – 29, 2015 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC with expenses paid. The writing award will be given to the best paper or article in the social insurance field completed between January 1, 2013 and September 14, 2014 addressing topics relevant to the design, planning, implementation, or evaluation of social insurance policy.

1-800-LAW-FIRM Writing Contest



1-800-LAW-FIRM is launching a writing contest on July 1, 2014  challenging law school students to demonstrate with an essay of at least 1,000 words how they would improve the legal system. The grand prize is a $10,000 law school scholarship. Entries will be accepted from Tuesday, July 1, through Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014.


The 1-800-LAW FIRM Law School Essay Contest is open to all law students who are at least 18 years of age and who will be enrolled, or will be enrolling, at an accredited United States law school in 2014-2015. Applicants are evaluated based on their essay which must demonstrate how they would improve the legal industry during their career.

The Texas A&M School of Law Journal of Real Property announces its National Writing Contest for law students and recent graduates. The Journal is seeking papers that touch on real property topics.
