BOOT CAMP 2011: BASIC TRAINING FOR LAWYERS

This two-day program is being offered to provide recent law graduates and current law students with career planning information as well as practical and substantive insights into the practice of law.

September 20 Schedule:

2:45-3:25 PM Ready to Start - Your First Assignment
3:40-4:30 PM Drafting Skills for a Corporate Associate
4:45-5:35 PM Drafting Skills for a Litigation Associate

September 22 Schedule:
1:00-1:45 PM Managing Student Debt
2:00-4:05 PM Communicating Electronically and Interpersonally As An Attorney
4:20-5:35 PM How to Succeed Inside the Courtroom-Basic Skills and Depositions

Students and Alumni from sponsoring law schools can attend the Boot Camp free of charge.  Touro Law Center is a sponsoring law school.  $110 for City Bar Members; $295 for Non-Members.  Transitional NY MCLE credits will be available for some sessions.

Tips on how to prepare for your interviews, including resume writing, drafting a cover letter and thank
you letter and tips on what to do and what not to do, as well as what to wear and what not to wear.

If you are interested in having your resume reviewed prior to the conference, please submit your
resume along with your RSVP no later than July 15, 2011. Resumes received after July 15, 2011 will
not be reviewed.
